The Lackawanna Chapter of the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society (R&LHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the importance of the Lackawanna Railroad in the northeastern United States. The Chapter’s efforts include ownership of the Lackawanna steam locomotive #952 (currently displayed at the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, MO), partnering with other local historical societies to ensure the preservation of the Lackawanna’s Delaware Water Gap station, and working to further the restoration of train service on the Lackawanna Cutoff. The Chapter meets quarterly in the former Lackawanna/CNJ Union Station in Phillipsburg, NJ (178 South Main Street, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865).
